The Manchester Derby: A Thrilling Encounter for Premier League Contenders

Manchester City will hope the combination between Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland that saw both players share four goals and four assists in the fifth round of the FA Cup game against Luton Town continues against the Red Devils. On the other hand, Manchester United will be going into the game with a weaker lineup due to an injury to Rasmus Holjund but they will rely on the attacking prowess of Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes.

Both teams are on different sides in the Premier League table, the Blue side of Manchester can not afford anything other than a win as they look to put the pressure on Liverpool and Arsenal. On the other hand, United have been consistent in recent games but the defeat against Fulham did set them back a little, anything less than a win for the Red Devils will put a big blow in their quest to finish in the top four.

The major doubt for Manchester City is Jack Grealish who suffered an injury during the league game against Bournemouth. Josko Gvardiol is yet to return to action, however, the defender is close to making his return to full fitness.

Manchester United will be without Harry Maguire who missed the match against Nottingham Forest. Rasmus Hojlund will miss the game along with Mason Mount, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez and Anthony Martial.
