Man Utd Reportedly Considering Zirkzee Exit After Underwhelming First Season

Manchester United are reportedly willing to part ways with Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee just a year after bringing him to Old Trafford. Despite arriving with high hopes, Zirkzee has yet to make a notable impact in the Premier League, and sources cited by CaughtOffside claim United are open to selling him for under €40 million.

The 23-year-old’s uncertain future has attracted attention from Serie A, with Juventus and Inter Milan believed to be leading the race for his signature. Fiorentina are also keeping tabs, especially as they prepare for the possible departure of their key forward, Moise Kean, in the upcoming transfer window.

Zirkzee’s prospects at United have further dimmed with the expected arrival of new manager Ruben Amorim, who is reportedly planning a major squad revamp. While a permanent exit is on the table, some fans argue that the club might be acting too soon. Before picking up an injury, Zirkzee had started to show glimpses of improvement, sparking hope that he could still deliver on his potential.

There’s also reported interest in a loan move, which may provide a more balanced solution. A spell in Italy could help Zirkzee regain form and confidence, potentially setting up a return to Manchester with renewed momentum. With United aiming to reshape their forward line this summer, a temporary move could be a more strategic alternative to selling him outright.
