Jose Peseiro confirms interest from a top African team

The Super Eagles’ coach at the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations, Jose Peseiro has confirmed the interest from the Algerian FA.

The Portuguese international while speaking in an interview with El Hayat TV, confirmed that he has received an offer from the North African nation. However, he has decided to leave the talks to his agent.

“I received a lot of offers after the African Cup final. I received an offer from the FAF but I will first rest and my agent will take care of it.”

The Desert Foxes’ had a disappointing performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which saw them sack coach Djamel Belmadi and are now looking for a perfect replacement.

This offer came after Peseiro had an impressive outing in Ivory Coast losing 2-1 to the host nation. However, he is currently out of contract with the Super Eagles.
