EPL: Amorim Adds 16-Year-Old Defender to Man Utd Squad for Ipswich Clash

Manchester United’s new manager, Ruben Amorim, has included 16-year-old defender Godwill Kukonki in the squad for their Premier League match against Ipswich Town on Sunday. This marks Amorim’s debut official game in charge of the Red Devils at Portman Road.
The inclusion of Kukonki, confirmed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, reflects the youngster’s impressive form. Romano shared on X: “16-year-old defender Godwill Kukonki has travelled with the Man United squad to face Ipswich Town, confirmed.”
Kukonki, a versatile and tall left-footed defender, can play both as a left-back and a center-back. A long-time United prospect, he joined the club’s academy at the Under-9 level. His selection rewards his strong performances with the Under-18s and promising training sessions with the first team this season.
