Chelsea FC Announced The Death Of Their former Manager
Chelsea Football Club following the death of one of its former players and manager, Gianluca Vialli at age 58.
The club made the announcement on its official website on Friday, January 6th, 2023. There was no news concerning the cause of his death.
Luca Vialli arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 1996, shortly after leading Juventus to Champions League glory. The former Italian international finished his first season at Stamford Bridge with 11 goals in 34 games.
Vialli continued as player-manager in 1998/99, although he restricted himself to just 20 on-pitch appearances, mostly in cup competitions. He will also be remembered as the man that gave John Terry his debut as a Chelsea player in the game against Aston Villa.
He won the FA Cup for Chelsea both as a player and a manager.
