Brentford Officially Announces Signing of Club Brugge Striker Igor Thiago Ahead of Summer Transfer Window

The announcement which was made on the club’s official website today, Wednesday, February 14, 2024, confirmed that Igor Thiago had indeed joined Brentford and will be available from the 2024/2025 club football season.

This did not come as a shock to many as reports of Ivan Toney considering a possible move out of Brentford have taken center stage. The English international has also hinted that he would be looking to take on a new challenge and compete for titles on his return from suspension.

The statement released by Brentford on Igor’s signing read, “Brentford has completed the signing of forward Igor Thiago from Club Brugge. Thiago has put pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Bees, and the club retains an option to extend his contract by an additional 12 months. He will remain with Club Brugge for the remainder of the 2023/24 season and join the west Londoners on 1 July.”
