Wike Hails Tinubu’s Leadership, Says Only “Blind” People Can’t See Abuja’s Progress

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as a remarkable transformation of Abuja’s infrastructure. During an inspection of multiple ongoing development projects on Saturday, Wike emphasized that the scale of progress in the capital is undeniable.

He noted that the projects are part of a broader plan tied to Tinubu’s second anniversary in office, which will feature a two-week program of project inaugurations and foundation-laying ceremonies across the city.

“Mr President has given first-class infrastructure to Abuja. All of you can attest to the fact that, indeed, Abuja has really changed. So, we are happy for it,” Wike stated while addressing journalists during the tour. “I want to thank God Almighty for providing the right leadership to Mr President to provide the dividends of democracy to the residents of Abuja.”

Responding to critics of the administration, Wike was blunt: “I don’t see why anybody would say that Mr President has not done well, except you are just blind. Except, you don’t want to admit something that you know that is good. We are happy that we have fulfilled the promises that we have made.”

Key projects set to be unveiled include the Gishiri Interchange, the expanded Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX) leading to Wassa Junction, the refurbished International Conference Centre, and the new N5 highway.
