UPDATED: 20 SANS Line Up For Obi, APC May Hire 12
The Labour Party claimed that on behalf of its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, it had hired at least twenty prominent Nigerian lawyers to challenge the outcome of the February 25 election.
The lawyers from various chambers were being provided with materials that would be used as evidence in court, according to party sources.

Tinubu defeated People’s Democratic Party candidate Atiku Abubakar with 8,794,726 votes, together with the LP candidate both of which received 6,984,520 and 6,101,533 votes, respectively.
However, both Atiku and Obi rejected the Independent National Electoral Commission’s announcement of the results, claiming in separate press conferences that the election was marred by violence and extensive rigging.
The drama took a new turn last Friday when it was reported that the two main opposition candidates approached the court to ask for permission to inspect election materials used in the poll.
Before withdrawing the case on Friday, at least six states—Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, and Sokoto—had brought the Federal Government before the Supreme Court regarding the conduct of the presidential and National Assembly elections on February 25.
