Primate Ayodele Warns COAS of Planned Terrorist Attacks in FCT, Benue, Imo, and Four Other Nigerian States
Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a warning to Lt. General Olufemi Oluyede, the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff (COAS), about potential terrorist attacks in Nigeria. Primate Ayodele cautioned that the Nigerian Army should be vigilant between December and February, as terrorists are planning assaults during this period.
In a statement shared by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Primate Ayodele identified Abuja, Imo, Plateau, Niger, Katsina, Borno, and Benue as the states at risk. He urged the military to take proactive measures, stating that increased casualties could be prevented through strategic caution and thorough security operations.
He emphasized the need for comprehensive and continuous surveillance of terrorist activities and mentioned that another, smaller terrorist group could be neutralized if security forces act promptly. He also warned of a potential larger coalition involving groups like Al Qaeda, ISIS, Boko Haram, and Hezbollah, which could escalate insecurity by 2025 if not addressed.
Primate Ayodele highlighted that combating insecurity requires both physical and spiritual approaches. He reiterated previous warnings given to the military under a former COAS, emphasizing that a spiritual approach should complement conventional military strategies to enhance national security.
