President Tinubu Has Not Offered Me Any Appointment – Ex Gov, Nyeson Wike Reveals
The immediate past governor of Rivers state and one of the chieftains under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Nyesom Wike, has recently revealed that the newly-inaugurated 16th president of the federal republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has not offered him any appointment in the federal level adding that he is not too big to serve the country.
The ex governor made this known while granting an interview with BBC News Pidgin and was publicized by Sahara Reporters via its official Twitter handle some hours ago.
Nyesom Wike stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is yet to appoint an office to him adding that even if eventually get appointed, he will need to discuss it with his wife and friends before he takes his decision of either rejecting or accepting it.
While still granting BBC News Pidgin the interview, Sahara Reporters reported that Nyesom Wike said he would have to rest for now before taking up any appointment having served as Governor of Rivers state for the past eight years. Below is an extract from the credible news outlet.
The former governor also revealed that even if President Tinubu speaks with him about any official post under his administration, he would have to carefully access himself to know if he is truly fit/prepared for the task.
Meanwhile, there have been several news reports from different credible news outlets where it was reported that President Bola Tinubu has appointed some Ministers who are to serve the country under his administration.
