Portable Responds to Cubana Chief Priest’s Comment on Tinubu’s Electoral Prospects in the Southeast

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, has reacted to remarks made by nightlife promoter Cubana Chief Priest following the sentencing of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu to life imprisonment.
According to a report by PM News on Friday, November 21, 2025, Cubana Chief Priest stated that the court’s decision would negatively affect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support in the Southeast, claiming the President would not secure 10,000 votes in the 2027 presidential election.
Responding to the statement, Portable criticized Cubana Chief Priest, describing him as a “betrayal.” He questioned why the socialite did not raise concerns about Kanu when he previously had an audience with President Tinubu.
Portable was quoted by PM News as saying:
“You fought for what you wanted first, and now you are saying Tinubu won’t get votes from the Southeast? You’re joking. They will use money to get votes from your people, and your people will take the money.”
