Osita Okechukwu Criticizes PDP, Urges Gratitude Toward Buhari and Tinubu for Not Investigating Them
Former Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON) and APC chieftain, Osita Okechukwu, has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to express gratitude for avoiding probes under the administrations of Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Tinubu.
Reacting to PDP’s claims of ending APC’s “oppressive rule” by 2027, Okechukwu accused the opposition of governance failures during their 16 years in power.
He cited instances of corruption, mismanagement, and breaches of constitutional conventions under PDP’s tenure, emphasizing the consequences still felt today, including economic challenges tied to abandoned projects like the $23 billion Greenfield Refinery.
Okechukwu further urged the PDP to avoid undermining Nigerians’ intelligence by ignoring their past mistakes, framing the APC’s restraint in initiating probes as an act of statesmanship.
