Keyamo Reveals Why He Was Not Among The Legal Practitioners Appointed By The Party To Defend Tinubu
Festus Keyamo, a member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, has provided an explanation as to why he was not chosen by the party to represent Bola Tinubu, the incoming president, in court.

Yet, despite his support for Tinubu and the APC, several online users made fun of Keyamo for not making the list. Keyamo said that he wasn’t on the list because he was still a minister in active ministry.
He claims that the Constitution forbids a minister in active ministry from being listed as a member of a private legal team. But he said he might join the legal team after May 29, when his contract must have ended.
“For those who inquired, a serving Minister (under our Constitution) cannot be named in any private legal team, though he or she can assist the team in planning. As a result, the current cabinet members who are SANs can only formally join the Election Petition team after May 29th,” Keyamo wrote in a tweet on Tuesday.
