Governor Fubara to Inaugurate Newly Elected Local Government Chairmen

Governor Siminalayi Fubara is scheduled to swear in the newly elected local government chairmen today, following their victory in Saturday’s elections.

Dr. Tammy Danagogo, the Secretary to the State Government, confirmed the event in an official statement.

The swearing-in ceremony follows the announcement of the election results by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, which declared the Action Peoples Party (APP) as the winner in 22 of the 23 local government areas.
