Dr. Sandra Duru Alleges Senator Natasha Offered ₦200m to Frame Senate President Akpabio

In a dramatic Facebook Live broadcast, U.S.-based activist and media personality Dr. Sandra Duru—also known as “Professor Mgbeke”—accused suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of attempting to involve her in a plot to falsely implicate Senate President Godswill Akpabio in serious criminal allegations.
According to a report by Daily Post on Friday, May 1, Dr. Duru claimed that Senator Natasha offered her ₦200 million to publicly accuse Akpabio of sexual harassment and organ harvesting. Duru, who said she possesses phone call records and WhatsApp messages to support her claims, revealed that she has already submitted the evidence to U.S. and other international agencies for forensic analysis.
Duru firmly stated during the livestream: “One, there is no sexual harassment of any kind; two, there is no evidence of organ harvesting.” She added that she confronted Natasha, calling her a “pathological liar” who manipulates public sentiment. “She said Nigerians are ‘gullible and hungry’ and that she wants to add to their problems,” Duru alleged.
A key focus of the accusations centered around the tragic death of a young woman named Umoren in 2021. Duru claimed Natasha wanted her to link Akpabio to the incident, despite an autopsy report having ruled out organ harvesting. “I already wrote the international agencies about a senator that claimed to have known something about the murder of a young lady and she kept it to herself,” Duru stated, urging Nigerian and foreign authorities to investigate.
Dr. Duru said Natasha initially denied ever speaking with her but was forced to backtrack after Duru presented alleged records of their conversations. She described Natasha as someone who lacks humility and moral values: “If it doesn’t go Natasha’s way, you are her enemy. She is on a mission to destroy men… our sons and girls.”
According to Duru, Natasha admitted that the plot wasn’t solely about Akpabio but was part of a larger scheme targeting the President of Nigeria. “She said the reason for the fight was not really about the Senate President but about the President of Nigeria.” Duru claimed Natasha believed that if Akpabio could be removed, it would pave the way for efforts to unseat the President. “She was promised a major position in government—either as Kogi State Governor or Minister of Petroleum—if she succeeded,” Duru alleged.
Calling for immediate action, Dr. Duru urged the Nigerian Police and international agencies to probe the senator’s alleged plans, saying: “Senator Natasha wants to force the Senate President to step down so that they will have their way to remove the President.”
