Bashir Ahmad: Peter Obi left Anambra without making any real headway
Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, has come under fire from Bashir Ahmad, a former media advisor to former President Muhammadu Buhari, for his persistent criticism of the Federal Government, which is led by Ola Tinubu.
Obi reportedly criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership on multiple occasions for policies he believed to be detrimental to Nigerians. Ahmad claimed that Obi’s past does not support his present assertions in a post published on his official X handle on Tuesday.
Ahmad claims that throughout Obi’s eight years as governor of Anambra State, the state saw no real advancements. By making Anambra a shining example of good government in Nigeria during his eight years as governor, he might have shown that Peter Obi is the transformative leader he has been trying so hard to project, he wrote.
But he accomplished nothing in his lifetime. He didn’t leave Anambra with any lasting legacy or noticeable advancements.
