Atedo Peterside Issues Caution: Wike and Fubara’s Assets Could Be in Jeopardy if Missteps Are Made
In a recent statement, Atedo Peterside, founder of Stanbic IBTC Bank, addressed the escalating conflict between Siminalayi Fubara and former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike. Speaking in a video shared by Arise TV, Peterside emphasized his preference for an amicable resolution rather than taking sides in the dispute.
He highlighted concerns about threats made on social media regarding potential damage to properties in Rivers State. Peterside warned that if the political situation deteriorates, the properties owned by both Wike and Fubara could face destruction.
“We have to find a peaceful resolution to this conflict,” he stated, noting that he and others are actively working behind the scenes to facilitate dialogue.
He cautioned, “If you do the wrong thing, properties will go ablaze,” and stressed the importance of maintaining neutrality to keep communication open with key players involved.
