After Meeting Wike In Abuja, Fubara Traveled To Uk To See Tinubu — Ndukwe

Obiaruko Christie Ndukwe, a prominent leader of the Citizen’s Quest for Truth Initiative, has shared new details about the movements of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara. In a recent interview with TVC News, Ndukwe disclosed that before Governor Fubara traveled to the United Kingdom to meet President Bola Tinubu, he first had a private meeting with former Governor Nyesom Wike in Abuja.

According to Ndukwe, the meeting took place on Good Friday at Wike’s residence — the same day Wike held a media chat. During their discussion, Wike reportedly told Fubara that the political issues in Rivers State were too complex to be resolved by just the two of them. Wike emphasized the need to involve other key stakeholders, including lawmakers and political figures from both camps, to truly address the ongoing crisis.

Ndukwe stated that Fubara agreed with Wike’s proposal. She further explained that their meeting was intentionally kept secret to avoid media attention.

Following the private discussion with Wike, Fubara immediately traveled to the United Kingdom later that same day to meet with President Tinubu. “After the meeting, that same day he left for the UK,” Ndukwe revealed. While Fubara’s meeting with Tinubu quickly made headlines, with photos circulating widely, the earlier conversation with Wike remained hidden from the public eye.

Ndukwe emphasized that although the secret meeting wasn’t widely known, it played a crucial role in efforts to restore peace in Rivers State.
