“You’re nobody” Asari Dokubo Attacks Wike
Former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has expressed his support for the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, while accusing the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, of deploying soldiers to monitor his residence.
Dokubo alleged that helicopters, purportedly sent by Wike, were flying over his house on the same day local government chairmanship elections were held in Rivers State.
In a fiery statement, Dokubo said, “Wike’s soldiers and police have been flying over my house with two helicopters. I have the capability to defend myself against them. Nigeria will not surrender to Wike, and the people of Rivers State will not bow to him either.”
He continued, “I am 60 years old and have never feared death. I always embrace it. I haven’t gone after their helicopters, but if necessary, I will shoot them down. I swear by Allah.
“Those commanding these actions should be warned. Enough is enough. Wike is nothing without the power of his office. Once stripped of that, we will see his true relevance.
“I will cast my vote, and you will see me do so. Results will be announced, chairmen will be sworn in, and we will see the outcome.”
