There have been rumours that the former governor has been offered an appointment by President Tinubu.

In an interview session with BBC Pidgin, Nyesom Wike revealed that there is no iota of truth in the appointment reports and that Tinubu has not discussed appointment matters with him.

He however made it known that if Tinubu offers him an appointment, he will consult his wife and friends regarding accepting it or not.

‘’ The man never tell me say e won give me appointment. You no go say you dey too big to serve your country but the man never tell me anything. If he ask me, I go ask my wife and friends wetin dem think about am. I go also see if I dey prepared’’….
