The tragic event unfolded when a man, chased by police officers, fell into a canal and later died. Reports shared last night by LIB revealed that the man was the husband of the lady’s friend who posted the story online.

She shared a distressing video showing local residents and staff from the Lagos State Fire Service pulling the unconscious man from the canal.According to the woman, the officers, who were not in uniform, reportedly profiled the man as a fraudster because of his tattoo.

Fearing for his safety after the officers cocked their guns, the man attempted to flee but was chased until he fell into the canal.Eyewitnesses claimed that the officers allegedly took the victim’s money and shoes before leaving the scene.
