Tinubu Puts Abdulrasheed Bawa’s Role as EFCC Boss on Hold
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has granted approval for the indefinite suspension of Mr. AbdulRasheed Bawa, CON, from his position as the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
This action is taken to allow for a thorough investigation into his conduct during his tenure.
This decision comes in response to serious allegations of misconduct that have been raised against him.
Mr. Bawa has been instructed to immediately transfer the responsibilities of his role to the Director of Operations within the Commission.
The Director will temporarily oversee the functions of the Chairman’s office until the investigation is concluded.
