Tinubu Approves New Federal University for Southern Kaduna

President Bola Tinubu has approved the creation of a federal university in Southern Kaduna, according to Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Shettima shared the news during a condolence visit to the Kukah family, following the passing of His Highness Yohanna Sidi Kukah, the Agwom Akulu of Ikulu Chiefdom and a family member of Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah of the Sokoto Catholic Diocese.
In his remarks, Shettima highlighted the administration’s commitment to the region’s development, citing the planned establishment of a Federal Medical Centre in Kafanchan and the appointment of General Christopher Musa as Chief of Defence Staff as signs of prioritizing Southern Kaduna’s security and progress.
The Vice President praised Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for his inclusive governance and assured collaboration between the federal and state governments to improve road infrastructure and other critical projects in the region.
Bishop Kukah, speaking on behalf of his family, expressed gratitude for Shettima’s visit and called attention to the poor road conditions in the area, emphasizing the community’s need for development and government support.
