Ten presumed dead and seven rescued after building collapse in Ibadan.
At least 10 people have died, and seven others were rescued alive following a building collapse in the Jegede Olorunsogo area of Ona Ara local government in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.Sources from Tribune Online report that the incident took place around 2 a.m. on Thursday
.Rev. Akinyemi Akinyinka, the General Manager of Oyo State Fire Services, confirmed the situation, stating that they received emergency calls from local residents at 2 a.m. He noted, “I want to inform you that the Oyo State Fire Services Agency received a distress call early this morning regarding the Jegede Olunloyo area in Ibadan, where 10 bodies have been retrieved from the rubble, and 7 individuals have been rescued alive.”
