Supreme Court Affirms Kefas as Taraba Governor

The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State.

The apex court dismissed the appeal filed by Muhammad Sani Yahaya of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) against the election of Kefas.

A five-member panel of the court held in a unanimous judgment delivered on Thursday maintained that Yahaya and the NNPP could not proved that Kefas did not have the majority votes

Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba, who read the lead judgment, held that that the Court of Appeal  did not err to have dismissed the case of the appellants.

The judgement of the apex court ends the legal battle on the matter
