Shehu Sani Responds to Tragic Road Accident That Killed 20 Kano Athletes

Senator Shehu Sani has expressed his deep sorrow following the tragic news of 20 athletes from Kano State who died in a road accident.

The fatal crash happened at Dakatsalle Bridge in Kura Local Government Area, Kano State. The athletes were returning from the recently concluded National Sports Festival held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, when the accident occurred.

In a post on X, Senator Sani described the incident as a national tragedy and conveyed his heartfelt condolences. He extended sympathy to the government and people of Kano State, while offering prayers for the families affected by the loss.

He said, “The report of the Kano Athletes coming from Ogun who lost their lives in a ghastly accident is sad and unfortunate. It’s a national tragedy. My thoughts and prayers for the victims and their families. My condolences to the Government and people of Kano state. May their souls rest in peace. Amin.”
