Senator Godswill Akpabio Says Former Governor Peter Odili Helped Him Become Governor of Akwa Ibom State

During the farewell party for Nyesom Wike, Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio disclosed what former Rivers state governor Peter Odili did for him when he intended to run for governor of Akwa-Ibom some years ago.

Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio stated, “Governor Nyesom Wike is saying I gave him money when he wanted to contest, but he is unaware that Peter Odili was the one who also gave me money during my own time.”

Peter Odili contacted me one day and asked why I was running for governor without alerting him. He directed someone to put money into my car.”

Further, Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio stated, “now, I don’t want to mention the name of the person who pushed the money inside my inside my car because we are no longer political friends.”

Finally, Godswill Obot Akpabio stated, “sir Peter Odili, you are the type of person Nigeria wants.” Now I want you to come to Abuja and advise President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on how to make Nigeria great. Teach him all you wanted to do for Nigeria.”
