Sanwo-Olu Celebrates Ambode at 60, Says He Served Lagos with Dedication and Passion
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has sent heartwarming wishes to his predecessor, Akinwunmi Ambode, who just attained the age of 60.
Sanwo-Olu said Ambode dedicated his life to the service of Lagos State as a civil servant and governor.
Trackloaded NG recalls that Ambode served a single term as a governor of Lagos before falling out with the state’s political figures and godfather, Bola Tinubu.
The fallout led to the emergence of Governor Sanwo-Olu in 2019.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Sanwo-Olu noted that the former governor made positive and significant impacts in some sectors during his tenure as governor.
“On behalf of my dear wife, Ibijoke, the government and good people of Lagos State, I join family, friends and political associates of my predecessor, former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to congratulate him on his 60th birthday.
Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode dedicated his young and adult life to the service of Lagos State, first as a civil servant and later as the 14th Governor of our dear State,” Sanwo-Olu said.
