Sam Amadi Reacts As Supreme Court Fixes May 26 For Judgement On Tinubu’s Eligibility
The former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission(NERC), Dr Sam Amadi has taken to his Twitter to react as the Supreme Court fixes May 26 for judgment on the eligibility of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
It was reported on Monday that the Supreme Court has fixed May 26 to deliver its judgment on an appeal that is challenging the eligibility of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to contest the presidential election held on February 25.
While reacting to this report, Sam Amadi took to his microblogging, Twitter some minutes ago to say that the Supreme Court was going to exercise an oversize influence on Nigerian democracy this electoral circle.
According to Sam Amadi, he made it known that the Supreme Court could help to preserve or destroy the prospect of real democracy in Nigeria.
In his tweet, he wrote in the following below:
“The Supreme Court has adjourned an important case in this electoral circle to May 26. The court is going to exercise an oversize influence on Nigerian democracy in this electoral circle. They could help to preserve or destroy the prospect of real democracy in Nigeria.
“What a time The FHC and COA were dead wrong. PDP has locus based on the views of SC on Uche Nwosu case.
“The case is not a challenge to the outcome of a primary but a challenge to INEC’s failure to follow the law and disqualify and unqualified candidate. So PDP as the opponent party has locus to bring the case.”
