Presidency’s Dada Olusegun Declares Bandit Leader Bello Turji ‘As Good as Dead’ After Video Emerges
Dada Olusegun, Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has strongly condemned notorious bandit leader Bello Turji after a video surfaced in which Turji called for dialogue with Nigerian authorities and security forces.
This video, which sparked public outrage, has led many citizens to demand Turji’s immediate arrest and prosecution due to his controversial past. There are also worries that he might receive protection from government forces, shielding him from accountability.
In the video shared by a user on Northern X, Turji, speaking in Hausa, emphasized the need for dialogue in light of significant operations conducted by the National Security Adviser with the backing of President Tinubu. Olusegun’s reaction was blunt, declaring, “Bello Turji is a dead man,” underscoring the government’s firm stance against banditry and its commitment to addressing ongoing security issues in Nigeria.
