PEN International Organizes Special Reading for Ibadan Explosion Victims
In remembrance of the Ibadan explosion on January 16, 2024, PEN International, Nigeria Centre, will host a special reading on Sunday, January 28, 2024, to draw attention to the plight of the victims within the literary community.
The event which will be watched via zoom will bring together writers in Nigeria and the United States to read their works which about the Ibadan explosion.
Writers expected to read their works to commemorate the event are Nigerian writer Olukorede S. Yishau (journalist and novelist — Houston, USA), Oyelola Ogunrinde (journalist and novelist — Lagos), Tade Ipadeola (lawyer, poet — Ibadan) and Akeem Lasisi (journalist, poet — Ibadan)
The literary community around the world are encouraged to join the event via zoom in solidarity for the victims of Ibadan explosion. The event is for 2.pm West African time and the Meeting ID: 841 9817 2614 while the Passcode is: 431814
