Pastor Enoch Adeboye Explains Why Witches Are So Dangerous, Says They’re Even Capable of Harming Their Own Children
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), recently highlighted the significance of self-love in the Christian command to “love your neighbor as yourself,” as stated in Matthew 19:19. He explained that this verse underscores the need for self-love as a foundation for genuinely caring for others. Without self-love, he noted, fulfilling this biblical command is difficult.
Drawing on traditional wisdom, Adeboye illustrated his point by referencing the destructive nature of those who lack self-regard. “The elders say that someone willing to harm their own possessions would readily harm others’,” he said, adding that witches are often feared because they are capable of harming even their own children. This lack of regard for their own, he suggested, makes them a potential danger to others.
Adeboye clarified that self-love, in the context of spirituality, is not selfishness. Rather, it’s an essential basis for compassion and respect towards others. His message serves as a reminder that a healthy sense of self-love is crucial for building empathy and positive relationships within one’s community.
