“Pastor David Ibiyeomie Claims the Governor of Benue State Lacks Vision”
** Pastor David Ibiyeomie, General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, recently shared his views on Benue State’s lack of development in a video he posted on Facebook. He emphasized the need for a clear vision to foster growth, stating that “people become what they should be because of a dream.”
He pointed out that while Benue is often referred to as the “food basket of the nation,” the rise of banditry has had a detrimental effect on agriculture. In his remarks about the state’s leadership, Pastor Ibiyeomie claimed, “The governor of Benue State doesn’t have a dream,” and urged his followers to relay this message to the governor.
He criticized the state’s dependence on exporting raw materials, arguing that true progress comes from adding value. “If Benue wants to advance, it should focus on developing a food processing industry or attracting investors to do so,” he suggested. Ibiyeomie stressed that establishing these industries would promote economic growth in Benue but lamented that “those in power do not have such a vision.”
