Oyedepo: The Hour of Temptation Has Come, Be Strong or You’ll End Up in a Shrine

Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church, has sent a warning to his followers to stand strong in the faith. He gave this warning during his sermon at the Midweek Communion Service, where he taught on the power of passion.

He warned his followers that if their love for God is not strong, they might find themselves denying the faith because the hour of temptation has come upon the world.

Inline with him, there are three virtues every Christian must have. Faith, vision or hope, and love, but love is the greatest among these virtues. He declared that love would stir up passion in the heart of the believer, enabling him or her to go through any test for Lord’s sake.

He explained that it was passion and love that made the three Hebrew boys dare King Nebuchadnezzar and his fiery furnace, and Daniel to dare the king’s decree and the lion’s den.

“There is nothing that can make me deny God,” he declared. “No devil in hell can make me deny God.”

He warned his congregation that genuine love will be tested, and they should stand strong in the faith to pass the test. He warned that if a believer is not careful, he can find himself going after other gods for things because his love for God is not genuine.

“The hour of temptation has come upon the world,” he said. “If you are not strong, you will find yourself in a shrine.”
