Nigeria Police Respond After Woman Claims Her Colleague Was Murdered Following “One Chance” Car Incident in Lagos
The Nigeria Police Force, through its Complaint Response Unit (CRU), addressed a post from a woman who reported that her colleague was murdered after getting into a “one chance” car in Lagos State. In a statement on its X account, the CRU confirmed that her complaint had been forwarded to the state police command for further investigation into the matter.
The term “one chance” refers to a form of robbery where criminals pose as drivers and passengers to lure unsuspecting individuals into their vehicles, only to rob and often abandon them.In some unfortunate instances, victims are killed after being robbed. The woman, known as @holluwakemie on X, shared that her colleague’s body was discovered by the roadside in the Ogudu area.
He had entered a “one chance” vehicle to catch a staff bus waiting for him at Alapere, but later, his body was found, suggesting he was killed by the assailants and discarded there.She urged the police to take immediate action against the growing threat of “one chance” robberies, claiming this incident marked the fourth attack of its kind that week.
