Man Attacks Wife After Being Caught with Mistress.
In a tragic case from Bulawayo, John Magu has been taken to court for violently assaulting his wife, Melody Magagula, after she caught him in an affair with another woman. The brutal attack resulted in severe injuries for Magagula and sadly led to her suffering a miscarriage.
The confrontation occurred when Magagula discovered her husband with his mistress at the woman’s home. Upon confronting him about the situation, Magu reacted violently and attacked her.
“I rushed there and caught my husband red-handed in a room with his girlfriend. When I questioned him about what he was doing, he became aggressive and severely beat me,” Magagula recounted in court.
Following the incident, both Magu and Magagula sought protection orders against each other to prevent any further incidents of abuse. Magagula mentioned that even though her husband was unfaithful, he frequently accused her of infidelity.
Magu, on the other hand, denied the allegations of physical abuse, claiming that his wife often becomes violent and shows him disrespect. Despite their ongoing issues, he stated that he still loves her and hopes they can reconcile.
The presiding magistrate, Challenge Mahembe, granted both parties five-year protection orders. Magu is forbidden from physically or verbally harming his wife, while Magagula is prohibited from emotionally or physically attacking her husband.
