Lokpobiri, Wike visit Tinubu ahead of swearing-in as ministers
Ahead of their swearing-in on Monday, two Ministers-Designate, Nyesom Wike and Heineken Lokpobiri on Friday visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Aso Rock presidential villa.

According to a statement by Tinubu’s spokesperson last Wednesday, Wike was assigned the portfolio of the Federal Capital Territory while Lokpobiri was the Minister of State for Petroleum.
However, it was not clear why the two ministers -designate visited President Tinubu on Friday.
But reports indicated that both men deliberated on the plans of the President for the petroleum sector during the visit.
The Minister applauded the President for “proactive thinking” and initiatives to develop the nation’s oil sector with the view to strengthen the economy in a chat with journalists after the meeting.
Lokpobiri also promised to hit the ground running in actulisation of the plans of President Tinubu for the oil sector immediately he assumed office.
Wike also attended the meeting.
