LASEMA Rescues Driver After Container Truck Collapses on Car and Tricycle in Lagos

The Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, reported that the incident occurred late Friday night. Upon arriving at the scene by 8:20 PM, responders found that a truck, a car, and a tricycle were involved in the accident. The articulated truck, whose registration number was not available, was transporting a fully-loaded 40-foot container.
The car had the registration number KSF-830JQ, and the tricycle was registered as EKY-43QG.According to initial reports, the truck experienced mechanical failure while going up the bridge, causing it to roll backward and partially fall onto the car and tricycle behind it.Fortunately, there were no fatalities, but the truck driver, an adult male, sustained injuries.
Two of the three vehicles involved suffered significant damage, leading to major traffic disruptions.Dr. Oke-Osanyintolu noted that responders have taken steps to remove the vehicles from the bridge to restore normal traffic flow.
