INEC Conducts Free and Fair Election, Says Kayode Akinsola
Sequel to the outcome of the 2023 presidential election which some of the presidential candidates of other major political parties such as the labour party and the people’s democratic party have described as unacceptable, a Nigerian constitutional lawyer, Kayode Akinsola has opined that the Independent national electoral commission conducted a very free and fair election.
According to Kayode Akinsola, to the best of what he saw, the independent national electoral commission conducted a free and fair election and those who are not happy with the outcome should prove their case at the petition court.
Kayode Akinsola reacted to the ongoing presidential election petition tribunal as the court has been hearing the case between the labour party, its presidential candidate and the independent national electoral commission, the all progressives congress and its presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In his reaction, Kayode Akinsola stated that politicians are not to be trusted even as they go to INEC to seek for evidence in forms of materials or forms.
Kayode Akinsola stated “to the best of what I have seen, INEC has conducted a very free and fair election. It is now left for the petitioners to prove their case in court”.
He made this remark a few moments ago during an interview.
