Former Kogi Deputy Speaker Enema Paul Dies Following Illness.
Hon. Enema Paul, the former Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, has passed away after a battle with an undisclosed illness. He died on Saturday morning at a private hospital in Abuja, according to reporters
Before his death, Hon. Paul represented the Okura State Constituency in the 8th Assembly of Kogi State. He stepped down from his position as Deputy Speaker due to health issues and was succeeded by Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola, the representative for Ibaji State Constituency.
The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, extended his condolences to Hon. Paul’s family. In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed, the Speaker remembered Hon. Paul as a humble, dedicated, and team-focused lawmaker who worked diligently for the unity and progress of Kogi State. He praised the late Deputy Speaker’s commitment to pro-people legislation, his strong family values, and his devotion to Christianity, highlighting his ability to bridge religious divides for the sake of peace. The Speaker offered prayers for strength and endurance for the family, colleagues, and the people of Kogi State during this difficult time.
