DON’T MISS: Federal Government Shortlists 11 Candidates for Permanent Secretary Position
Out of 19 directors who participated in the written examination for the Permanent Secretaries’ qualifying process, only 11 have advanced to the final stage, according to a memo from the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF).
The memo, signed by Dr. Emmanuel Meribole on behalf of the examination committee, confirmed the invitation of these candidates to the oral interview stage following their successful performance in earlier phases of the selection process.
In October, it was reported that the Federal Government had initiated the process to appoint new permanent secretaries to fill vacancies across eight states. A separate memo from the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, stated that officials under disciplinary action were barred from applying.
The selection process, approved by President Bola Tinubu, began with 38 directors in the first stage. Nineteen directors advanced to the second stage, and now 11 candidates remain for the final interview.
The new permanent secretaries are expected to be announced by President Tinubu at the conclusion of the recruitment exercise.
