Did You Know? Two Countries Where A Presidential Election Has Been Annulled By The Supreme Court

A presidential election is usually held in order to elect a president in a democratic country. It should be said that the president is often referred to as the most powerful politician in a particular country.

However, it is important to point out that there are some countries where a presidential election has been annulled by the supreme court. Let us carefully identify two of them.

1. Ukraine

A report by The Guardian indicates that the result of the 2004 presidential election in Ukraine was overturned by the supreme court of Ukraine. This information has also been confirmed by The Times. The Times also reports that the supreme court of Ukraine ordered that there should be another election after the previous one was annulled.

2. Kenya

According to a report by the Premium Times, the Supreme Court of Kenya annulled the Kenyan presidential election in 2017.

This information has also been confirmed by other media sources such as the British Broadcasting Corporation as well as The Guardian.
