Deaconess Victoria Chidoka burial – Check Obasanjo, Atiku, Soludo, others in Obosi

Eminent personalities, including statesmen, politicians, captains of industry and others, were in Obosi on Friday to bid farewell to the late Deaconess Victoria Nneka Chidoka.

Deaconess Chidoka was the mother of former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka. The burial had in attendance, amongst others, former President of Nigeria Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo, former Minister for Women Affairs, Mrs. Josephine Anenih, Senator Uche Ekwunife and many others.

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, who was ably represented by Professor Obiora Okonkwo, the Director General of the Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign in Anambra State, expressed condolences to Osita Chidoka and the entire Chidoka dynasty during the funeral at the Chidoka country home in Obosi, Anambra State. He hailed her as a model public worker, a woman of morality, and someone who used her talent to serve God and community.

Atiku Abubakar stated that Deaconess Victoria Nneka Chidoka lived and died as a superhero and raised her children to be a benefit not only to their community but to Anambra State and the nation at large.

The former Vice President stated that he had a direct connection with the family through his working relationship with Chief Osita Chidoka, noting that he considered himself a member of the family. He prayed for the repose of the soul of the late Deaconess.
