According to Kassim, Osita Izunaso who is from the Southeast went into an election which he won and was returned as senator but he could not pull the same votes for his presidential candidate, Ahmed Tinubu.

Kassim Afegbua made this remark when he was reacting to the position of the all progressives Congress on the preferred candidate for the senate presidency.

According to Kassim, Godswill Akpabio who is the party’s preferred candidate for the position, is from the South South which is the region that is best for the position.

He argued that the southeast has had it for more than five times.
