Breaking: Olubadan Oba Adetunji is dead at age of 93
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji is dead. He was 93 years old.
The monarch passed away today 2 January at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Oyo state.
The Ekarun Olubadan, High Chief Amidu Ajibade confirmed the news to the Nigerian Tribune.
Oba Adetunji’s transition comes 22 days after the death of the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladunni Oyewunmi.
The latter was 95.
Oba Adetunji was crowned the 41st Olubadan of Ibadan following his coronation on March 4, 2016.
Prior to his coronation as the king of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji was the Balogun of Ibadanland
Oba Adetunji was a successful businessman. and Ibadan was peaceful during his reign.
