BREAKING: NSCDC Conducts Raid on Illegal Refinery in Rivers, Arrests Two and Dismantles Bunkering Site

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), via the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad (SIS), has successfully arrested two individuals linked to illegal artisanal oil refining.The arrests occurred at the Obeama Creeks in Rivers State, an area well-known for illegal oil bunkering activities.

During the operation, various sizes of homemade ovens and materials used for illegal oil refining were seized and destroyed, including a large dugout pit designed for illicit refining.This action is part of the NSCDC’s ongoing campaign to combat oil theft and the environmental harm caused by these illegal refining operations.
