Breaking: German President Steinmeier Plans Official Visit to Nigeria
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Embark on Three-Day Official Visit to Nigeria: German President Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier will visit Nigeria from December 10 to 12, 2024, marking the third high-level engagement between the two nations since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration in May.
Accompanied by a delegation of industry leaders from German firms specializing in IT, high-tech, and energy, President Steinmeier’s trip highlights the growing partnership between Germany and Nigeria.
His agenda includes key meetings with President Tinubu and ECOWAS President Dr. Alieu Omar Touray in Abuja. The German leader will also visit Lagos to engage with cultural icons such as Dr. Nike Okundaye, founder of Nike Art Gallery, and Nobel Laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka.
This visit underscores Germany’s commitment to fostering cultural, economic, and diplomatic ties with Nigeria.
