BREAKING: Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari Dies in London

Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has died, according to a statement released on Sunday by his former aide, Bashir Ahmad.
Ahmad confirmed the passing in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating: “The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus. Amin.”
Buhari, 81, served as Nigeria’s president from 2015 to 2023, following an earlier tenure as military head of state from 1983 to 1985. His administration was marked by a focus on anti-corruption, national security, and economic reforms.
Further details on funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in accordance with Islamic rites.
