BREAKING: Court adjourns hearing on Peter Obi’s petition, See the new date below
The date of the hearing of the petition of the labour party has been adjourned till Wednesday, May 10.
The case of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has been adjourned till Tuesday, while it fixes same Wednesday for another petition by the Action People’s Party (APP)
The court ordered the petitioning parties to identify and recognize every statements and witness they would rely on or object to on Wednesday, the date of the actual hearing of the petition.
Also, the court on Monday, restricted the Governor of Plateau state, Simon Lalong from standing before it as Tinubu’s representative.
The governor, as soon as the petition was called stood up and identified himself as Tinubu’s representative.
Justice Haruna however led a five man panel that declined to recognize him as Tinubu’s representative. According to Justice Haruna, he said “it is practically impossible to represent an individual “
“My lords, in that case, I will represent the all progressive Congress (APC)” the governor responded.
