BREAKING: Adamawa APC expels party chieftain (Uba) over leaked audio attacking Vice President-Elect
Doubel ward officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Yola North Local Government of Adamawa State have expelled Alhaji Uba Dan’arewa, a chieftain of the party over anti-party activities and his leaked audio undermining the Vice President-Elect, Senator Kashim Shettima.
During a press conference, Mallam Usman Mohammed Gidado, assistant secretary of the party in Yola North said 26 out of 29 officials from the ward and local government levels have appended their signatures expelling Uba.
He said Uba have grossly breached the party norms of anti-party, disloyalty, and backstabbed some party critical and senior members.
Gidado said they invited him to answer all offenses leveled against him, especially the viral audio accredited to him attacking the Vice President-Elect, Senator Kashim Shettima as a nobody who is fueling the crisis in Adamawa APC.
Gidado said also Uba has failed to answer questions labeled against him at the disciplinary committee but only said he has appeared before the state disciplinary committee and has no business talking with them.
“After cross-checking all facts on the ground and thoroughly investigating all allegations we have discovered that Alhaji Uba Dan’arewa has without no shadow of a doubt committed offenses that breach our party’s constitution and we are therefore expelling him from the party,” Gidado said.
